INTER-ISLAND GAME NORTHERN TEAM SELECTED AUCKLAND'S LARGE MAJORITY Further trial games in connection with the selection of the New Zealand Rugby League team to tour Australia will bo played at Carlaw Park on Saturday. and the meeting of the North and South Island teams will give the selectors a final opportunity of seeing all the likely candidates in action. At the conclusion of yesterday's trial game between Auckland and the Rest of the North Island, the North Island selectors, Messrs. A. T. : McGlynront, H. Brisbane (Auckland) and G. Hooker (Taranaki) selected the North Island team and also the Possibles and Probables sides, which will meet in the cur-tain-raiser. :
It was expected after the trial game yesterday that the North Island team, would comprise mostly Aucklanders and the selection includes but one player outside the province. Many good players are included in the Possibles and .Probables game, which should give the selectors a wide scope from which to select the New Zealand team.
