WALLPAPER ROXY AND TIVOLI THEATRES The latest of the series of Tarzan stories, "Tarzan's Revenge," will be shown with "The Gqnie that Kills" at the Roxy and Tiroli Theatres to-day. The story of how Tarzan (Glen Morris) is roused to protect an American hunting party from the perils of the African forests makes one of the most thrilling stories yet to come from the pen of Edgar Rico Burroughs. Morris is the successor to Johnny Weismuller, Olympic swimming champion, in the main role, and he has won a number of titles at the Olympic Games. As the story opens a party of European travellers, bent on securing rare animals, plunges into the depths of the jungle, and it is here that Eleanor Holm, who has the main feminine role, first meets Tarzan. Their friendship ripens as Tarzan follows in the treetops to protect the explorers from the attacks of wild animals in the jungle. The story reaches a thrilling climax when the girl is kidnapped by native warriors. The film version was prepared by Robert L. Johnson and Jay Vann from the original etory by Edgar Rice Burroughs, and it is one of the most thrilling tales of adventure in Africa yet to be presented. What claimed to be the fastest game in the worVl, ice hockey, provides many thrills in "The Game that Kills," which is the second attraction on the programme. The film also contains an exciting story of crime and punishment set against the background of the ice rink. The leading role is taken by Charles Quigley, as the hockey player Alec Ferguson, whose brother is accidentally killed during a game. Suspicious circumstances attending his death lead Alec to believe, that the "accident" hides something worse, and the film contains a thrilling story of his investigations. F. Strong), appeared for sentence for carnally knowing a girl of 14 years. His Honor said native custom could not be allowed to over-ride the law. Some arrangement should be made to ensure that the prisoner and the girl should live 100 miles apart. The case was one for the Child Welfare Department, whose duty it was to see that the law should be obeyed. Counsel was asked by His Honor to make some arrangement so that imprisonment for the prisoner might be avoided by ensuring his separation from the girl. The prisoner was further remanded until Friday for sentence. 8d ROLL Write for Free Pattern Book EVaim # B lk 1 DAI I of our new range of British- " 0m Slfl made Wallpapers, comprising designs for every room in your home.
