CONTEST ON MONDAY NIGHT BLOMFIELD AND ANDY MOEN An eagerly awaited wrestling match between Lofty Blomfield and Andy Moen will take place at the Auckland Town Hall next Monday night. Ihe season had not been long in progress before it became obvious that Moen, who scored three wins and a draw in his first four contests, was going to play a highly prominent part in the season's operations. Each season there is much speculation as to which wrestlers are going to establish themselves at the head of their rivals and this year the position is unusually open. Pat Fruley is on the crest of a wave at tlio present time, but Moen, who has already drawn with him, and Blomfield, aro two who will not rest content until they have either proved that they are capable of taking his measure or are forced to admit that he is the better man.

Blomfield, who is expected to have freshened up after a brief spell, will probably have the greatest support from the crowd, but thcro will bo rBW around the ring who will not be prepared to admit that the Aucklander will bo meeting an opponent whose every move will have to be closely watched. Moon is a skilled and versatile wrestler, big, strong, and fast, and he will be ready to match rugged aggressivpncss with tactics of the same sort. The Auckland Wrestling Association is doing its best to encourage the sport among its amateurs and also among those who have recently turned professional. The professional preliminaries between Rod Douglas, Ken. Kenneth, Frank Boric and Fred Irvine have all proved popular with patrons. These men have given good value with lively exhibitions, and they may be expected to improve still further with greater experience. The pair to meet next Monday night are Kenneth and Boric. It will be "remembered that their previous match was unsatisfactory as Kenneth had to retire owing to a shoulder injury after having secured a fall.
