Mr. H. Taylor, for accused, said Solomon was proceeding at a normal speed and on his correct side when a motorist coming from Vivian Street took a wide turn and crashed into his car. Accused had not had a great amount of liquor, but coupled with (he shock it would make his condition appear much worse than it actually was. Had the ear not been disabled it would be quite reasonable to say that accused could have gone straight on homo. He was suffering from a painful malady and he believed that liquor would relieve tho pain. GROCERY HAND REMANDED CUSTOMS STR KKT INCIDENT On charges of being in a state of intoxication while in charge of a motorcar in Customs Street on May 0, and also of using obscene language, a grocery hand, William Mullally, aged 21, appeared before Mr. C. 1?. Orr Walker, S.M., in the Police Court yesterday. Accused, who was represented by Mr. Robinson, pleaded not guilty to both charges. On the application of Detec-tive-Sergeant McHugb, ho was remanded until not Tuesday.
