A farm labourer, Henry Leonard Slight, aged 47, of Te Aroha (Mr. J. F. Strang) appeared for sentence beforo the Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, in the Supreme Court at Hamilton today for the theft of £lO 16s 8d by failing to account for the proceeds of a cheque and for committing false pretences ill connection with the endorsement of the cheque. His Honor admitted prisoner to probation for tyro years on terms requiring him to take out a prohibition order, to pay the costs of the prosecution, £l9 9s 9d, and to make restitution of £lO 16 s Bd.
