UNUSUAL ACCIDENT
RUN OVER BY OWN CAR RESULT OF A COLLISION [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday An unusual accident, in which two men, Mr. Laurie Pascoe. a wood contractor, aged 31, and Mr. Alexander Owen, aged 50, were injured, Mr. Pascoe seriously, occurred this evening on the Cliristchurch side of West Melton, on the main west road.
Mr. Pascoe was bending down in front of his car cranking it, when a car which Mr. Owen was driving struck the rear of Mr. Pascoe's car. Mr. Pascoe was knocked down and run over by his own car. He suffered a fractured right leg, and head and shoulder injuries. His condition is serious. Mr. Owen received head and chest injuries. His condition is not serious.
