AUCKLAND PRESBYTERY

CONTROL OFfiOVA CHARGE

The congregation of St. , Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Suva, which was formerly associated with the Presbytery of Victoria, has been transferred to the jurisdiction of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand, according to advice received at a meeting, of. the Auckland Presbytery last night. The Suva, charge . will now be included in the Auckland Presbytery. The Moderator, the Rev. R. K. Alley, welcomed the Moderator of the General Assembly, the Rt. Rev. H. Howes; and the director of youth, work, the Rev. Dr. J. D. S almond, who addressed the Presbytery. A letter was received from the clerk of the Dunedin Presbytery statute that the Rev. H. J. Ryburn, minister-flf, St. Andrew's Church, Dunedin, had been asked by the Student Christian Movement to conduct a mission at the university colleges at Auckland, Wellington ahd Christchurch during June and July. The Presbytery agreed *"to offer any co-operation within its,power to Mr. Ryburn. .. -

B; Burnett said an application had been received from the Koliimarama church for the sanction of a loan of i'2oo for the erection of a hall. The Presbytery agreed tentatively to approve of the proposals, providing that the plani for the building were submitted to. the finance committee and that the loan did not exceed the sum specified.
