BRITISH MINISTERS CONSIDERATION BY PREMIER SEATS IN HOUSE OF LORDS MR. ORMSBY-GORE'S TRANSFER By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright LONDON, May 8 The Prime Minister, Mr. Chamberlain, in order to restore the balance in the House of Commons owing to the presence of live Ministers in the House of Lords, will consider important Cabinet changes in the near future.

These will be consequent upon the transfer of the Secretary of State for the Colonies, Mr. W. OrmsbyGore, to the Upper House. The position has been brought about by the death of Mr. Orrisby-Gore's father, Lord Harlech.

DEATH OF LORD HARLECH FORMER GUARDS OFFICER (Received May 9, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, May 8 The death has occurred of Lord Harlech. Lord Harlech, who was the third baron, the title having been created in 1876, was 83 years of age. He was educated at Eton and Sandhurst,, and entered the Coldstream Guards. Later he commanded the Welsh Guards. He entered politics in 1901, becoming Conservative member for the Oswestry division of Shropshire, which seat he held until 1901, when he succeeded to the title and entered the House of Lords. He had been Constable of Harlech Cast To since 1927. His only son, the Rt. Hon. William George Arthur Ormsby-Gore, Secretary of State for the Colonies, succeeds him.
