TE AKAU NORTH DISTRICT [from our own correspondent] TUAKAU, Monday A decision of the Raglan County Council to terminate at the end of next week the appointment of the Te Akau North Rabbit Board's inspectors as noxious weeds inspectors in the Raglan county was conveyed to a meeting of the board to-day at Tuakau. Mr. H. W. Wilson, who is chairman of the county council and a member of the board, explained that the council had in view the appointment of one inspector ; Avhere it was now utilising the services of four. In that way it would effect a saving. The board's chief inspector, Mr. G. F. Soilness, reported that the general pollard poisoning of rabbits carried out throughout .the board's district in the autumn had proved most effective. Only an odd rabbit was now to be seen where once there wore rabbits in thousands.
