SCOUT ORGANISATION ANNUAL CONVERSAZIONE The similarity between the ideals of the Boy Scout movement and Rotary was the subject of comment by Mr. R. F. Ward, Auckland City Commissioner of Boy Scouts, when speaking on Boy Scout organisation in an address at the weekly luncheon meeting of the Auckland Rotary Club yesterday. Mr. Ward said that each organisation had as goals service and international brotherhood. Tho president, Mr. H. T. Thomas, presided over a large attendance. It was announced that tho annual conversazione of tho club would bo held next Monday, when the district gover-nor-elect, Mr. G. W. Hutchison, of Auckland, would be farewclled prior to leaving for the annual Rotary Convention in San Francisco. Farewells would also be extended to Mr. J. E. Astley and Mr. A. S. Bailey, Auckland club delegates to the convention. Present at the gathering would bo representatives of Australian Rotary districts, who would be passing through Auckland en routo to San Francisco. Ono of tho latter, Mrs AY. McGluckie,' district governor-elect of tho new Rotary district of Queensland, would bo the speaker at the luncheon meeting that day. Following the luncheon, pianoforte items were given By Colin Horsley, of Wanganui, a talented young musician who is going abroad to further his studies. Visitors at tho luncheon included Mr. W. Thorns (Geelong), Dr. P. S. Foster, Mr. M. Barnett, Mr. I. Woolf (Christchurch), Mr. A. D. Carson, Mr. R. Telford (Wellington), Mr. R. W. Hansard (Napier), Mr. C. Coote (Whangarei).
