FISHERMEN SEEK SHELTER [by telegraph—own correspondent] WHANGAREI, Wednesday An Auckland fishing vessel, the Tasman Star, came into Whangarei for shelter this morning. The crew reported very heavy seas outside the harbour. Tho boat, it was stated, had been sheltering at the Hen Island, but it was decided to try to reach Auckland. This was found to be impossible against the high wind and heavy seas, so shelter at Whangarei was sought. The vessel reached the harbour after being pounded by heavy seas at the entrance. The members of the crew state that the seas outside were the worst they; had experiencd during many years fishing up and down the coast..
