STAFF SOCIAL NIGHT
TURNBULL AND JONES AMUSING MOCK COURT In spite of unfavourable weather there was a good attendance at the first dance of the season held by the social club of Turnbull and Jones, Limited, in the Amateur Operatic Society's Hall, Grafton Road, last night. The dance programme was interspersed with items, the chief feature of which was a cleverly enacted mock court, in which the judge, jury, policemen and accused made merry. A piano-accordeon number was given by Mr. J. Sharp, while Monte Carlo and spot waltzes were also featured in the programme. Among those present were: —Mrs. C. J. Lenihan, Mrs. L. Martin, Mrs. H. E. Lewis, Mrs. J. Pascoe, Mrs. J. Morrison, Mrs. A C Holton. Mrs. S. A. Ewen, Mrs. F. Dickens, Miss Molly Leahy. Miss Peterson, Miss Amy Rich, Miss Marjorie McWilliam, Miss Marjorie Boyd, Miss Betty Shcrer, Miss 0. Derrick, Miss B. Phillips, Miss Muriel Capes, Miss Mavis Coulter, Miss Nora Coulter, Miss Dorothy Payter, Miss Dorothy Rowe, Miss Vera Hullah, Miss Lor is Morgan, Miss Peacock, Miss Rose Tennant. Miss E. Robinson, Miss Nancy Vaughan, Miss Beatrice Seagar, Miss Margaret Edwards, Miss A. Rae.
