NEW CLUBS AFFILIATE PLAYER FOR REINSTATEMENT FORTHCOMING TOURNAMENTS The following clubs Tvero elected members of the New Zealand Golf Association at the monthly meeting of the council of that body: Kiwitahi Club, Kereone, Morriusville; Orini Club, Orini, Taupiri; Patutahi Club, Patutahi, Gisborne; Pongaroa Club, Pongaroa. A resignation was received from the Helensville Club, which has been unfortunate in losing its links. The Timaru Golf Club had advised the association before Easter that tho South Island amateur championship tournament had to be abandoned owing to the state of the course through rain, and fujther stated that In any case tho event had been very poorly supported so far as entries were concerned. After discussion regarding the future of this tournament it was resolved to write to the advisory committees in Canterbury and Otago for their suggestions as to whether they think the event should be played this year. An application for reinstatement as an amatour was received from tho To Puke Golf Club, and, as the applicant had complied with the conditions laid down by the association, it was resolved that his reinstatement bo granted, subject to the council receiving a personal application from the player concerned. Forthcoming tournaments advised to tho association are as follows: Whangarsi Club, North Auckland tournament, May 10 to 21; Akarana Club (Auckland), Auckland winter championships, June 4, 5, 6; Avondale Club (Christchurch), South Island veterans' tournament, Juno 25, 20; Masterton Club, annual tournament, June 4, 5, 0; Whangarei Club, Black and White Cup (open day), June 0.
