EMPLOYMENT IN GAME CASE OF SIDNEY BARNES [ Fit Oil A SPECIAL COlt RESPONDENT] LONDON, April 1-1 At the ago of 62, Sidnej- Barnes, one of the greatest bowlers who ever played for England and Lancashire, wants a cricketing job. A right-handed bowler, with a quick break from leg, Barnes played for his country and his county against the Australians at the beginning of the century. For a month he has sought matches and coaching. He was playing club cricket until last September, ancf says he will "play for a village team" before he gives up the game. Barnes said this week: "I need a job. We have, to live. I never made a lot of money as a cricketer —roughly £l5O in my best season. I keep on hoping."
