The visitors in the first innings had made 541 and the county had responded with 268 in the first innings. Fol-' lowing on, Worcestershire at the luncheon interval to-day had scored 140 and their total for the second innings at the end of the day was 196. Only a few hundred people were present for the final day, the weather being almost as unpleasant as England can provide. The game could not be resumed until 2.30 p.m. The ball was greasy, but Fleetwood-Smith brought Bull's second plucky innings to a close, after 150 * minutes' batting. He hit 11 boundaries. Play was then again held up for nearly an hour, after which the Worcestershire batsmen played stubbornly. The spin bowling of Fleetwood-Smith and White, however, was toe strong for them.
