GRANT OF £IOO
DRINKWATER'S DAUGHTER * MONEY PROVES WELCOME April 20 "It was very nice and kind of the Premier to remember daddy," said Penelope Drinkwater, the eight-year-old daughter of the late John Drinkwater, who has been given a grant of £IOO. "I must write and thank him." "It is everything in the world, just everything," said Penelope's mother, Daisy Kennedy, violinist, formerly of Adelaide. "My playing just feeds us. I have not a penny from my husband's estate, I just carry on working." The money will provide for the education of Penelope.
