'. i ' SPECIAL AUCKLAND FORECAST FAIR TO CLOUDY AND MILD The Government meteorologist issued to the Herald last evening the following special forecast for tfle Auckland Province:—Light to. moderate southeasterly wind predominating. The weather is likely to be fair to cloudy with mild temperatures. Seas slight to moderate. _ WEEK-END WEATHER Auckland. —Fine sunny weather was experienced during the week-end. Temperatures on Saturda3' were mild, hut cooler conditions prevailed on- Sunday, with a moderate southerly wind. The minimum temperature on Sunday was 08 degrees and the maximum 68 degrees. The barometer was high and fairly steady on both days. Barometer, midnight, steady .. 30.18 in. Midnight, Saturday .. .. 30.17 in. Wellington.—After heavy rain on Friday night with a brief southerly change the weather cleared rapidly and Saturday and Sunday were brilliantly fine, although cool, with moderate north-westerly and light southerly breezes respectively. The rainfall on Saturday morning was 0.92Fn. The minimum temperature on Friday was 49.2 degrees and the maximum on Saturday 64.0 degrees. The minimum on Saturday night was 46.2 degrees and the maximum yesterday 60.6. degrees. At 3.30 p.m. the barometer registered 30.25 in. Christchurch.—The week-end weather was mainly fine. After rain early on Saturday morning the weather cleared and the afternoon was fine and sunny. Sunday was fine and mild, with bright sunshine at intervals and no wind. The barometer rose' steadily, the' 5 p.m. reading being 30.27 in.

Dunedin.—Overcast skies and a strong south-west wind made conditions on Saturday cold and unpleasant, the temperature falling as low as 47 degrees. The barometer rose to 30.30 in. There was a decided improvement in the weather yesterday, bright sunshine being experienced throughout,, the day, although a south-westerly wind kept the temperature down. The barometer was steady at around 30.27 in.
