NOVEL FERRY-BOAT
STEERED BY PROPELLERS ■ ISLE OF WIGHT RUN (Received May 1, 6.50 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY, April 30 An interesting feature of the new Southern Railway ferry-boat for the conveyance of holiday-makers in motor-cars and other vehicles and of merchandise, from Lvmington to the Isle of Wight, is that it is equipped with Voch-Schneider propellers. These enable her to move forward or backward, obliquely or broadside on as required. The boat has propellers at each end but no rudders, being steered by her propellers.
