BARCELONA SUFFERS . REVERSES FOR REBELS OFFENSIVES ABANDONED CHECKED BY REPUBLICANS By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received May 1. 5.5 p.m.) BARCELONA. April 30 The rebels launched two more air raids on Barcelona this morning. Thirty-five persons were killed and 68 injured, .the latter including a British member of the crew of the Bteamer Stanbrook. General Franco has been forced to abandon his attacks on the Mediterranean and Teruel fronts as the result of the loyalists' complete check of the big rebel offensive toward the coast. The drive toward Castellon has also been given up after heavy losses. The rebels suffered severely in an unsuccessful onslaught in the Tremp sector.
