TRANSPORT TOURNEY AUCKLAND AND WELLINGTON Tennis teams representing the Auckland and Wellington Transport Boards met in a tournament commenced yesterday at the Gaunt Street Depot courts for a trophy donated by motorman Manning, of the Epsom Depot. The visitors were welcomed at luncheon by the engineer-manager of the Auckland Transport Board, Mr. A. E. Ford. Mr. R. Somers, captain of the Auckland players, and Mr. H. Nicholls, manager of the Wellington team, replied. Gilmore Rodgers, congratulated the club on its good season, and mentioned that T. M. Bloor had won the men's senior championship for the third time in succession.
