ONEHUNGA STREETS
NAMES TO BE CHANGED With the object of doing away with the duplication of street names in tho metropolitan area, the Onehunga Borough Council has tentatively decided to change the names of several streets in tho borough. Tho decision to do so is to be submitted for confirmation at a special : meeting of the council on May 9. . ' " The suggested alterations are as follows, tho new designation being in parentheses:—Albert Street (Gnlway Street). Ann Street (Blakey Street), Beach Road (Beachcroft Avenue). The Esplanade (Beachcroft Avenue), Carlton Avenue (Jordan Avenue), Chamberlain Avenue (Erson Avenue), Commerce Street (Cowell Street), Fitzroy Street, (Fleming Street), George Street (Tarairi' Street), Haslett Street (Waller Street). . Harris Lane (Puka Street), Hauiti Road (Houpara Street), Hum Street (Huapai Street), Kingston Avenue (Boyd Avenue). 'Market Street (Toru Street), Mill Street (Matipo Street), Mount Pleasant Road (Matiere Road), Nikau Road (Hoheria Road), Omana Road (Olea :Road), Palmerston Street (Pukemiro Street), Park Avenue (Park Gardens), Rarawa Road (Stoupo Road), View Avenue (Viewland Avenue), Waipu Lane (Waiapu Street), Water Street (Wharangi Street), Wharf Road (Gloucester Park Road),. Willow Street (Waititi Street).
