British Wireless RUGBY, April 26 The British Ambassador at Cairo, Sir Miles Lampson, acting on instructions, has informed the Egyptian Government that the British Government is gravely concerned at the in the Egyptian tariff on cotton goods which have'been announced and. which must seriously affect the Lancashire textile industry. The British Government reserves the right to express, its views more fully when the details of the tariff increases have been considered. The secretary to the Overseas Trade Department, Mr. Robert Hudson, is to receive a deputation of representatives of the Lancashire cotton industry regarding the effect of the tariff increases..
