DIAMOND JUBILEE
JVIR. AND MRS. J. POMEROY [from our OYfN correspondent] HAMILTON, Monday Over 100 relatives, friends and business associates mot at the Centreway tea rooms to-day to honour Mr. and Mrs. James Pomcroy, of Hamilton, on the occasion of tho diamond jubilee ot their wodding. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. S. Moachom, or Hamilton, who celebrated tho diamond jubilee of their wedding a week ago. The Rev. R. B. Tinsley presided, and congratulated Mr. and Mrs. Pomeroy on attaining the 60th anniversary of their wedding. . _ Mr. Tinsley said that Mr. Pomcroy had been a lay preacher- in the Methodist Church since 1880, and on behalf of the church thanked Mr. Pomeroy for the services he had given. Tho Mayor, Mr. J. R. Fow, paid a tribute to the fine example Mr. and Mrs. Pomeroy had given as citizens.
