Miss Ron ft Lewis will return to Cambridge to-dny after having spent Easter in Auckland. Mrs. H. A. Mathias has returned to Auckland nfter spending three months in Wellington and Christchurch. Mrs. Roy Towle, of Remuera Road, returned last evening after having spent the Easter holidays at Taupo. Mrs. Arthur Churton, with her husband, has taken up her residence in Mrs. James Pascoe's house at Titirangi. Mrs. Reid Bell, of Garden Road, Remuera. who has been spending a holiday in Taranaki and Waitomo, has returned. Mrs. Claude White aiul Miss Meg White, of Aldred Road. Remuera, have returned from a fortnight's holiday at Takapuna. Mrs. N. Marshall (Lower Hutt). Mrs. Charles Mitchell (Victoria) and Mrs. W. G. Wood (Napier) are at tho Grand Hotel. Mrs. T. M. Alexander (Wanganui). Mrs. H. M. Conway (Wellington), and Mrs. P. Lane (Whangarei), are at the Central Hotel. Mrs. Thurston, wife of the late Captain Thurston, of the Shaw, bavin and Albion Line, arrived at Wellington at the week-end from England. Mrs. R. B. Lambert, of Ashburton, who is on a motoring tour of the North Island, is spending a few days in Auckland prior to leaving for the far north. Mrs M. H. Wadham and her two daughters, Mrs. L. Emery and Miss M. Wadham, of Masterton, left Auckland last week for a holiday trip to Honolulu.
Mrs. F. Beaslev-Hartley, of Birkenhead, has left for England, accompanied bv her husband. They will take up their residence at their home in the Midlands.
Mrs. C. J. Clery, of Milton, Otago, is spending a holiday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Vausc, Queen's Parade, Devonport. She is accompanied by her husband.
Miss Valerie Carr and Miss Phyllis FitzGerakl, of Wellington, are the guests of Mrs. Gifford Moore, St. Stephen's Avenue, Parnell. They will later visit Rotorun.
Mr. and Mrs. George Thompson, who have been visiting their son a daughter-in-law. Dr. and Mrs. J. R. G. Thompson, Great North Road, Auckland, will return to Christchurch this week.
Miss Bettv Howard, Oxford, Canterburv, who has been staying at St. George's Bay Road, Parnell. as the guest of Mrs. T. Garside, left at the week-end on a visit to the King Country.
A meeting of the Women's Leagiu* of the British Israel World Federation was held recently. An interesting paper was read by Mrs. Jamieson, after which a discussion took place. Afternoon tea was served.
Recent visitors to the _ Chateau, Tongariro from Auckland include: Mrs. R, M. Algie, Mrs. L. Smedley, Mrs. F. Bull, Mrs. W. Rolfe, Miss Harvev, Miss A. Livingstone, Miss McLeay, Miss J. Braun.
Miss G. Meek was presented with a solid leather suitcase by the staff Or the Cargill Publishing Company, Limited, Morrinsville, from which she has resigned. The manager, Mr. A. G. Yardley, made the presentation.
Mrs. Victor Schmidt, wife of the Consul for Switzerland, Dr. Walter Schmidt, arrived in Wellington bv the Arawa from England at the end of last week. She was accompanied by Miss Elizabeth C-otti and Master Benno Cotti.
Members of the Women's Progress Club held an enjoyable afternoon on Wednesday when Mrs. T. G. Pearce presided and gave a short talk entitled "Happiness in the Home." Items were rendered by Mrs. Watts, Mrs. M. Cooper, Mrs. Clarkson, Miss M. Paica and Mrs. M. Stuart. Tea was served by the hostesses. Mrs. T. Green, Mr* Dcverick and Mrs. Hubbard.
