ONEHUNGA CLUB The final races of the young bird season were flown on Saturday in bad weather. The race from Wanganui. 210 miles, was flown in 6 hours 10 minutes and won by Messrs. Wallace and Itea's Harlogan Rosetta. at tne rate of 986 yards a minute. The and third birds were Redwood Lofts Comet. 927 yards a minute, and Prentice and Son s Gurnay Queen, 924 yards a minute. The young-bird championship was flown from Paekakariki, 286 miles and won b.v Mr b Glass' Junior Silverton, which was the only bird to arrive home on the day of ''beration Its average speed was 922 yards a minu e and it wins the Challenge Cup outright.
