CALLIOPE OLUB'S OPENING The Calliope Harrier Cluh orfH.fi lis ninth season on Saturday afternoon with a road and cross-country run. The season was der'nred open by the cluh president, Mr, W. Patcrson, who despatched the runners in one large pack. From Pupuke Road a three cjuarters of a mile run-in was held. A visitor to the club. R. Violicli. of the Scottish Harrier Club, Wellington. was easily first home, with L. S. Dixon on his heels, and A. Clow third. BAPTIST CLUB'S EVENT The Hantist Harrier Club opened its season with a cross-country run of about four miles S. Edgar. V. Colinell, L. Maroon and T. Purley proved thenisclveu to tie in good form.
