WEALTHY NEW YORKER SPECIAL TRIPS TO LONDON TURNS UP EVERY MARCH Gerry Rorke, wealthy New York broker, has been clothed in London for the last thirty-five years. And he is thirty-seven years old. Except for a break during the war he has never failed to visit the Empire's capital on a shopping expedition in March. "Let us now praise famous men," was his greeting when asked by a Daily Express reporter about this unusual record.

'Tin telling you," he said, "that in my club on Long Island the name of London's best shirtmaker is better known than the name of your Prime Minister. There's also a man who makes shoes in a funny little shop where his father and grandfather made shoes before him. And that man has done more for international friendship than all the statesmen put together. "As for suits, I like my clothes to fit well,, and the less fuss about the fittings the better. My man here fits me to a 'T' every time; I've never had to send a suit back for alteration. "Pop brought me ovei* when I was two, took me to his shirt man, and I've tone there ever since; want nothing ettef.

"The man who makes mv suits now made ray first pair of knickerbockers; he's making a pair for young Gerry this time. Same man? Sure! I guess he's rising seventy, but gosh, can he make clothes?"
