CAMBRIDGE TOURNAMENT RESULTS OF FINAL MATCHES [from our own correspondent] CAMBRIDGE, Wednesday The Cambridge Tennis Club's handicap tournament was concluded yesterday, the final results being:— Ladies' B Grade Singles.—Final: Miss M. Speakman heat Miss E. ftunciman. 6—2. ft—l. Ladies' Doubles.—Final: Mrs. Farrell and Miss L. Kirk beat Misses O. and B. Harvey, fi—l, 6—l. Men's Doubles.—Semi-final: Matuschka and Roach beat Plaster and Brett, 11. —10; Robinson and Clow beat Hooker and Soppett, 11—f>. Final: Robinson and dow (Cambridge) beat Matuschka and Roach (Hamilton). 6—3. 6—B. Combined Doubles.—Third round: Law and Miss Billiard beat Hooker and Miss Feisst, 9—B; Roach and Miss Mills heat Brett, and Miss Wild. 9—7. Semi-final: Lett and Miss E. Runciman beat Law and Miss Billiard, 9 —7; Roach and Miss Mills beat Matuschka and Miss Feisst, B—B.8 —8. Final: Roach and Miss Mills (Hamilton) beat Litt and Miss E. Runciman, 6—l, 6—4.
FRANKLIN TOURNAMENT [from our own correspondent] PUKEKOHE, Wednesday The men's chnmpionship singles competition in the Franklin open Easter tournament was won by J. C. Charters, who beat J. Aitkenhead in the final, 6 —l, (>—2. The semi-finals in the men's championship doubles resulted:—J. Aitkenhead and J. Mackie beat N. Gummer and M. Best, 6 —o, fi—4; K. Clark and G. Willis beat J. C. Charters and H. Smith, ft—3, 4 —G, 6—4. Results in the semi-finals in the ladies' championship doubles were:—Misses B. Potter and L. Bishop beat Misses Saddleton and Shepherd. 6—l, fi—2; Mesdames A. Wright and Jury beat Mrs. Needham and Miss T. Hayes, f>—o, 6 —l. Play in the tournament is to continue on Saturday.
