AUCKLAND TITLES

SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS /EVENTS to be held to-night Keen competition and good performances are anticipated for the senior swimming championships of Auckland nt the carnival to bo held in the Tepid Baths to-night. The leading candidate for the 100 yds. men's title, X. Crump, has been in splendid form lately, and is considered to have bright prospects of establishing a itew Dominion record. Similarly, Miss M. Leydon is expected to take advantage of the 220 yds. ladies' phampioiu-hip to lower the record held .-by Miss I. Pnrdie, of Dunedin. An exciting duel should be provided by Misses K. Grey, I lie holder, and V. Coultliurst for the 100 yds ladies' title. The other championship events include the 110 yds men's freestyle, the 100 yds and •J.'Oyd.s men's breaststroke, the lOHyds men's backstroke. v > tho 100 yds and ivds ladies' hreaststroke, and the looyds ladies' backstroke.
