FLIGHT TO ENGLAND
ATTEMPT ON RECORD SYDNEY, April lfi The Australian flier Mr. H. F. Broadbent left Mascot aerodrome at 1.2 a.m. to-day in an attempt to break the Sydney-England and Australia-England solo flight records. IMPERIAL AIRWAYS FLYING-BOAT'S RECORD LONDON, April 15 The Imperial Airways flying-boat Calpurnia created a record for the service flight from Durban to Southampton, taking four and a-half days for the trip. She carried 10 passengers and two tons of mail. ITALIAN PROJECT LONDON, April 10 Four Italians have arrived at Croydon to make an attem]i± on the CroydonCnpetown return flight record in a twinengined Fiat monoplane. They are expected to take off to-morrow.
