QUALIFYING BOUNDS THOMSON'S BRILLIANT SCORE LEADING PLAYERS BEATEN SEMI-FINALS THIS MORNING Playing in the qualifying rounds of the Auckland provincial golf championship at Titirangi on Saturday B. G. Thomson, of the Auckland Club, established a course record with a brilliant round of 69. The previous record of 71 was held by threo amateurs and a professional, 0 Tho first and second rounds were decided yesterday and the following w ill contest the semi-finals this morning: B. H. ilenzies (Auckland), L. J. Bryant (Akarana), A. E. Browne (North Shore) and W. J. Davidge (litirangi). The tournament is ono of surprises as H. D. Brinsden, B. G. Thomson and J. H.
