LIBERATION OF PHEASANTS [by TELKGKAI'H —own correspondent] KOTOKUA, Tuesday The total liberation of pheasants from the State game farm at Ngongotaha prior to the opening of the shooting season has now been completed by tlu! Department of internal Affairs. Since liberations began approximately 500 birds have been set tree, leaving another 500 in the pen's for liberation after the closing of the next season. The stock birds of the farm have recently been augmented by a new strain of .'SO pheasants, which have been forwarded to the department by Mnj° r Ashley Podd, of England, and breeding from this strain will take place next season.
