COUNTY COUNCIL NOTICES QOUNTY OF WAITEMATA. *ln the matter of " The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1920," and Amendments thereto ind Regulations made thereunder, the Body Corporate known as the Chairman, Councilors and Inhabitants of the County of Waitemata, hereby gives notice in terms of 3ections 9 and 10 of "The Local Bodies Loans Act 1920," that it proposes to engage n the following undertaking, which it is duly luthorised to do by law, and being unable ;o provide the necessary funds for such work >ut of the ordinary revenue of the Council, proposes to raise a Special Loan for the purpose of meeting part of the cost of reconducting the Beach Road Secondary Main Highway, Takapuna Riding, of the County )f Waitemata, and the Kerbing, Channelling, fencing and Metalling of name, and the taking of the necessary land therefor. It is a condition that, if this Loan of £7OOO s rejected by the Ratepayers, the previous Loan of AIT'-'OO already approved by them 'or this work will not be raised and that no jart of the work will be undertaken. The further sum proposed to bo borrowed s £7OOO in respect of a Loan to be known ts the Takapuna Riding Loan, 1037, at a rate of interest not exceeding £3/10/- per ;entum per annum. The term is for a period >f 15 years, with a sinking fund of not less han £5/4/- per centum per annum. The jroposed security for the Loan is a Special iiate of Five-sixteenths of One Penny in the Pound on the Rateable Value of all Rateiblo Property in the Takapuna Riding of the bounty of Waitemata—a legal subdivision. It s proposed to pay out of the Loan the >reliminary expenses in connection with the icheme for which the Loan is proposed to be aised, and also the cost of raising the Loan, )ut not tho interest and sinking fund for he first year rf the Loan. A POLL of the Ratepayers of tho said Takapuna Riding will bo taken on the above >roposal on the 11th day of May, 1038, >etween the hours of 0 a.m. and 0 p.m., at the following places: County Offices, corner >[ Shorttend and Princes Streets, Auckland; 3rown's Bay Progress Hall; Albany Corolation Hall; Presbyterian Church Hall, Castor Bay; Mairangi Bay Hall; and Mrs. barman's Residence, Torbay.
