ENTRIES A RECORD VALUABLE STOCK EXHIBITED TWO NEW ZEALAND JUDGES (Kecelved April 11 10 30 p.m.) SYDNEY, April 11 •The Royal Easter Show, which began on Saturday when 50,000 people attended, is planned on a more ambitions scale than ever before, in order to mark Australia's 150 th anniversary celebrations. The entries, which total 17,684, constitute a record. Two thousand entries are for cattle, whose approximate value is £350,000. Judging began to-day in the beef section. A New Zealander, Mr. F. Humphreys, of Gisborne, is the sole judge of Polled Herefords, and Mr. H. Williams, also of Gisborne, is the judge for the Aberdeen Angus. A number of junior farmers are in camp at the showgrounds, including five New Zealanders, who, in conjunction with young farmers in Australia and from Britain, have submitted more than 300 entries for a magnificent display in the agricultural hall.
