NEW ZEALAND PUBLICITY IMPROVEMENTS INTENDED GREATER CO-ORDINATION [fkom OL'n OWN CO lilt KS PON I) ent] LONDON, March 23 New Zealand publicity in Britain luis_ been freely praised in recent years by experts from the Dominions as an example to thoir own countries. In an effort to make still further improvements, a committee is being set up to co-ordinate and extend the work of the various Government and trade bodies representing New Zealand interests in Great Britain and on the Continent. Preliminary plans were discussed at a meeting this week attended by the High Commissioner, Mr. W. J. Jordan, the lOuropean heads of the Dairy Sales Division, New Zealand Meat Producers and Fruit Kxport Control Hoards, and Mr. H. T. li. Drew, New Zealand Government publicity officer. In addition to advertising New Zealand produce, it is proposed to issue background publicity to make the Dominion known as a progressive democracy and a country of outstanding tourist and social interest. Newspapers, films, lectures, posters and similar means of publicity will be used. A considerable amount of work of this nature is already done, but it is hoped to increase it and extend it in new directions.
