MANUKAU AMATEUR CLUB ROAD EVENTS DECIDED The ManukJ>u Amateur Cycling Club held two road events on Saturday. There were 21 competitors in the junior raco of 10 miles. M. C. Johnson, of tho Papatoetoo Club, who rodo by invitation, won in a very close finish with three other competitors. The senior event of 20 miles was contested by 35 riders, the winner being N. F. Harvey, a junior, who was permitted to compete because ho had punctured in tho junior race. Pesults were as follows: Junior Pace. —M. C. Johnson (2m 15s), 28m 51s, 1; P. K. Sanders (3m), 20m 425, 2; F Trcdrca. (3m), 2Hm 435, a. Johnson also mado fastest time. E. Crawford (1m 15s) recorded second fastest time, and P. E. Clark, was the fastest rider from scratch in 29m 10s. Senior Pace.—N. F. Harvey (2m 15s), 56m 325, J; J. H, Wado (lm), 55m 18s, 2; R. G. Whitley (3m 15s), 57m 31s, 3. Wade recorded fastest time and Harvey second fastest.
