AUCKLANDERS' DOINGS MR. PEAK'S OXFORD DEGREE [I'ROM our own correspondent] LONDON, March 10 I)r. H. Gaudin, of Auckland, who has been associated with the Mayo Clinio, Rochester, Minnesota, since 1934, arrived in England recently. Ho will spend some months observing work in special surgical fields and will then leave for Auckland, via America. Mr. 1). A. Peak, of Auckland, a postgraduate scholar in science of the University of New Zealand, has taken the degree of D.Phil, at Oxford. He hopes ultimately to return to New Zealand, but has accepted a position as -research chemist with the British Dyestuffs Corporation, a subsidiary of Imperial Chemical Industries, and is stationed at Huddersfield. Mr. N. G. Manley, of Auckland, arrived in England by the Mataroa, on which he travelled as physical culture expert in charge of the ship's gymnasium. He has como to England to study the "Keep Fit" movement.
