STANDARD DEDICATED

EX-ROYAL NAVAL MEN MARINERS' CHAPEL SERVICE The Mariners' Chapel at the Flying Angel Mission to Seamen was filled to capacity yesterday morning when the new standard of the Ex-Royal Naval Men's Association was dedicated and presented by the honorary chaplain of the association, the Rev. H. K. Vickery. The lesson was read by Commander C. B. Tinlev, officer in charge of the Devonport Naval Base. The men marched from their clubrooms in Wyndhain Street under the command of Lieutenant-Commander R. Payne, R.N. (retired), and headed by the Waterside Workers' Silver Band. The chapel was decorated with palm leaves as the day was Palm Sunday. After the service the flag was handed by the chaplain, who was accompanied by two officers, to the standard-bearer. Mr. R. Clouston was the organist.
