ROAD SEALING WORK
Advice was received at a meeting of the Howick Town Board on Thursday night that a tender of £1514 for the tar-sealing of Cook Street, part of the Howick-Manurewa main highway, had been approved by the Main Highways Board. The work, which carries a £3 for £1 .subsidy from the Highways Board, is to commence on April 19. \ satisfactory report was submitted bv the clerk for the yeiU- euding Marcli 31 the credit balance being £3UI. lJie rates collected, including water rates, totalled £2781.
