MRS. J. BOWMAR Tho death has occurred at Kaiwaka of Mrs. Maria Josephine Bowmar, aged HO, wife of Mr. J. Bowmar. Mr. and Mrs, Bowmar celebrated their golden, wedding in February. Deceased is survived by her husband, two sons and one daughter. Thoro ai'o eightgrandchildren. MR. E. Tho late Mr. Bryant was born in tho Vale of Neath, Glamorganshire, South Wales, 60 years ago, He came to New Zealand in 1015 and until two years ago had been continuously employed by Taupiri Coal Mines, Limited. About eight years ago Mr. Bryant also took up farming at Pukekapia. He is survived by his wife, five sons and two daughters. Deceased was of high rank and a daughter of a paramount chief, the late Hori Ngatai, who was friendly to tho British in the days of the Maori disturbances, Ngahuia Ngatai was n granddaughter of a noted chief who was killed in a figlit at Wairakei, near the month of the Ivnituna, Slip was held in high esteem by the younger generation and was consulted by them on matters pertaining to Maori welfare.
