SCHOOL JUBILEE
BERESFORD STREET CELEBRATIONS CONTINUED The diamond jubilee celebrations of the Beresford Street School were continued yesterday in the school grounds when gymnastic and dancing displays were given by the pupils of the school The function was attended by a large number of former pupils, who were welcomed by the acting-headmaster, Mr. A. E. Thompson. The programme included folk dancing by tho small boys and girls and by the senior girls. Gymnastic displays and physical drill exercises were carried out by the boys, while other itoms presented bv the girls were overhead ball competitions and relay races. The celebrations will continue to-day when a reunion and roll call will be held in the school grounds and at Western Park in the afternoon. The speakers will include the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. E. Parry, the chairman of the Auckland Education Board, Mr. T. U. Wells.
