EIGHT TIMES CHAMPION
OTAGO LADY GOLFER MRS. DODGSHUN'S SUCCESS [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] DUNEDIN. Friday A member of the Otago Golf Club, Mrs. H. Dodgshun, won her eighth Otago provincial championship this afternoon, when she beat Miss Claire Smith, a promising young Invercargill player, two up, in the final of an interesting competition.
Both had come through the Semifinals with good wins. Mrs. Dodgshun beating Mrs. McKillop, of Christchurch, nix and five, and Miss Smith beating Mrs. Scott, of Timaru, four and three. In both games the winners played right up to form, while their opponents lapsed from the standard of tlieir quarter-final play.
