Goldwater was successful in the junior event. In the first, round for the president's trophy played on the Ilemuera links, B. Leighton led with a net score of 70. P. Miller, with a card of all square, won a bogey match at Pupuke. E. O'Brien returned a net score of 65 at Waiteniata. In medal matches at Orakei. M. Gray won the senior contest with a net score of 69, while R. Forder. was successful in the junior grade.! G. Lyttleton won a senior medal handicap at Otahuhu, while T.
