CRICKET IN CEYLON
THE AUSTRALIAN TEAM . (Received March 31, 5.5. p.m.) COLOMBO, March 30 Tho Australian cricket team in its match against a Ceylon eleven declared its first innings closed with nine wickets down for 367 runs. Ceylon had lost sovon wickets for 114 when play was abandoned owing to rain. Ward took two wickets for 55 runs, and Chipperfield four for 24.
MARYLEBONE CLUB LONDON, March 30 The Marylebone Cricket Club is distributing the entire surplus from its Australian and New Zealand tour of 1936-37 to 17 first-class counties (£4OO each) and tho Minor Counties' Association (£300).
