DEATH AT SEA

BISHOP TAYLOR SMITH (Received March 'JO, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, March 28 The death has occurred at sea on board the Orion of Bishop John Taylor Smith, K.C.8., C.V.O. He died from a heart seizure and will be buried at sea to-night.

Bishop Taylor Smith, who was 78 vears of age, was sub-dean and canon of St. George's Cathedral, I" reetown, and diocesan missioner at Sierra Leone, West Africa, from 1890 to 1897, and served in the A«hanti Kxpedition of 189.3 as chaplain to the forces. He was bishop of Sierra Leone from 1897 to 1901 and Chaplain-General to the Forces from 1901 to 1925, when he retired. He was appointed sub-prelate of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem in 1916. _
