WEDDING

WATSON—PEARTE The wedding was celebrated on Saturday at St. John's Anglican Church, Te Awamutu, of Miss Dorothea A. Pearte, younger daughter of Mrs. J. W. Pearte, to Mr. Arthur Signor Watson, fifth son of Mrs. and the late Mr. A. Watson, of Waipuktirau. The ceremony was performed by the Iter M. Sullivan, and the wedding mil sip was plaved by Miss P. North. Ike church had been charmingly decorated bv the bride's friends for the occasion. "The bride, who was given away by her mother, wore a gown of white embossed satin, cut on long, slim-httmg lines and finishing with a sweeping train Her tulle veil, held to the head with a halo coronet of tulle and orange blossoms, fell in long folds to form a second train, and she carried a sheaf of white dahlias, roses, carnations and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaids were Miss Velina Gilpin and Miss Jojce Bindon, both of Auckland fliey wore frocks similarly fashioned of white satin embossed eloque, slim--fit ting to the knees, and falling m full flares to the hemline. On their heads they wore white tulle veils over a coronet of red velvet flowers and leaves, and carried cascade bouquets of red dahlias and maidenhair fern. Also in attendance were two small children, Pamela Lanmnuir and Rex. Bcale, the former wearing white georgette, and earryinor a basket of red dahlias. The brideEroom was attended by Mr Bruce Pearte, brother of the bride, and Mr. T. Mason, of Auckland. Afc-the reception winch followed later, Mrs Pearte received, wearing a frock of ovster lace and velvet bandeau with a small veil. The bridegroom's mother was in navv floral crepe de chine and navy picture hat. Both carried bouquets to tone with their frocks.
