IK PLACER DEVELOPMENT Placer Development, Limited, reports that for the three months to March 1, Prtto Consolidated No. 1 and 2 and 3 dredges (South America) dug 1,416.000 cubic yards, recovering 284307.. of fino gold, equiralent to 99,505 dollars (£19,901, New Zealand currency). Throughout the period, No. 2 and 3 dredges were operating in very low-grade ground due to ft shortage of power delaying their advance. The first 5000 horse-power unit of the Anori hydro-electric plant was completed toward the end of February.
