STRUCK BY TAXI
MAN'S LEGS BROKEN .• CITY STREET ACCIDENT ,>-• Knocked down by a ts xri in Cook 1 Street, at the corner of Albert Street"' and Cook Street, on Saturday night, Mr. Frederick William Da vies, an acco'intaint, aged 63, of 60 Wellpark Avenue, Grey Lynn, suffered compound fractures of both logs, as well as bead injuries and concussion. He was taken to . the Auckland hospital in a St. John ambulance. His condition last night was fairly serious.
