OBITUARY
DR. JOHN BARRY BISHOP OF GOULBURN (Received March 9.5 p.in.) SYDNEY, March 22 The death has occurred of Dr. John Barry, Catholic Bishop of Gonlbtirn. Dr. Barry was the son of Mr. Simon J. Barry. He was born on June 18, 1875, at Freemount, Ireland, and educated at St. Colman's College, Fernioy, and St. Patrick's, Maynooth. He was ordained priest on his birthday in 1899. He was assistant priest at Dandenong and St. Kilda, and pastor at Mansfield. 1907-12, Balaclava, 1912-17, and Administrator of St.. Patrick's Cathedral. Melbourne, 1917-24. Hp had been Bishop of Goulburn since 1924.
