GIANT CLIPPER FOR THE AIR SERVICE TO NEW ZEALAND: NEW BOEING MACHINE NEARS COMPLETION IN AMERICAN FACTORY The South Seas Clipper, under construction at Seattle for Pan American Airways, as she was wheeled out of the factory for mounting of he r 152 ft. wing. The machine, which will weigh 42 tons accommodate 50 passengers on long ocean flights, will be used on the San Francisco-Auckland run.
